Hey Guys!
Hope you're well? Just checked my emails for the first time in over a week (how luxurious!) as we only got back last night. Back down to earth with a bump, now!
Thanks so much to you and your family for the most memorable part of our trip - it was just wonderful and we were so excited to have found you! It was just beautiful at your beach house and we will most certainly be coming back to see you again. Now we've discovered you we'll be sure to keep coming back. It was quite the most delightful stay and your friendliness, hospitality and warmness was the cherry on the cake!
Do stay in touch! Laura

ALL ABOUT
PORTHTOWAN...
One of the world's most popular surfing destinations...once a thriving mining village with around 9 watering holes! Now we have the famous 'Blue-Bar' right on the beach, and the popular family pub 'The Unicorn' which serves real ales and scrumptious carveries!
Miles of clifftop walks, clean sandy beach, voluptuous surf, seals, basking sharks and dolphins frequent visitors! Smugglers caves, quarries and old mineral tramways to explore, bicycles and horse treks available locally.
Safe bathing and surfing on our 'Blue Flag' award-winning beach, with lifeguards on duty from May-October 10am til 6pm every day. No dogs allowed on the beach throughout this period...hence the blue flag.
Splendid local mini-market, and The Unicorn Pub overlooks the dunes and beach. New this year are a new Juice-Bar and Cafe, Fish + Chip shop open every day 12noon-10pm, hairdresser and massage clinic over by the dunes. There are two excellent surf shops, including the world-renowned 'Sick, Lame + Lazy', we have arranged discounts for surfing lessons with Falmouth Surf School.
The A30 is now dualled from Indian Queens to Victoria, so we're almost dual all the way to the outside world now!
Mainline trains from Truro, Redruth, and a choice of flights from Newquay, Plymouth and Exeter. Flights and boats to the Scillies leave from Penzance.
A growing population in Porthtowan with many artistic and imaginative people doing their bit to improve and regenerate this thriving little village.
and always...the beautiful sea....
